1St ASSYRIAN AUSTRALIAN CONVENTION BLUE MOUNTAINS AUSTRALIA
The first Assyrian Australian Convention in Australia was inspired by the vision of a group of Fairfield based friends known as the C-oterie.
The picturesque world heritage listed Blue Mountains were selected as the venue to host this celebration of all things Assyrian, history, culture and music.
The 2008 October long weekend will see Australia play host to the first Assyrian Australian Convention.
There will be four days of celebrations and family fun where guests can reminisce with old friends or attend seminars in Assyrian Arts and History led by international Assyrian Historian.
Guests may also choose to attend the many parties by renowned Assyrian recording artists or simply enjoy the fairground attractions located on the lush surrounds of the York Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains.
The packed entertainment program will be dedicated to social, personal, educational and cultural growth whilst promoting the historical Assyrian heritage.
It is anticipated the jovial Carnival atmosphere along with the traditions of communal greeting and socialising will provide a long weekend of family fun and entertainment.
A warm invitation is extended to all Assyrians in Australia and throughout the world to join us for the 1St Assyrian Australian Convention being held in the picturesque Blue Mountains, Sydney, Australia.
